First things first, warning......you may become a product junky over time as you collect and try out different makeup products until you establish what you like and love. In the make-up world, there's no such thing as having too much makeup lol. I only wear makeup when I'm doing photo shoots or unless I'm attending a special event. I did not want to shell out tons of money hiring makeup artists just to do basic, everyday looks. So of course, I headed over to YouTube for several weeks and learned how to apply makeup from different vloggers.

Now applying makeup as a beginner can become overwhelming especially if you follow on social media, accounts where the person has drastic or "over the top" looks. But honestly, you don't need a lot of makeup, for your everyday looks. As you get better, you'll be applying makeup in under five to ten minutes!
You will need the following items to get you started (see featured image for all products):
Primer
Set of brushes
1-2 Foundations to get that perfect blend
Mascara
Eyeliner Pencil
Lipliner
Eyeshadow palette
Makeup remover wipes
Finishing Powder (not pictured)
I already know what you said to yourself......you probably use the eyeliner as your lipliner also lol....me too sis! I buy liners in dark brown or a chestnut color but you can buy them in multiple colors. I'm not into the cat eyes and such so I don't line my eyelids.
Mascara is definitely your bff when it comes to your lashes. You can get mascara for as cheap as $0.99. I have been blessed by God to have full and long lashes so I don't wear false lashes but whatever works for you, work it girl!

You definitely need eyeshadow palettes to dress up or down your eyes. I prefer neutral colors and every now and then, I'll get spontaneous and add a pop of a dark color to my eyes. But again, if you're going for the everyday look, you want to look as natural as possible. As you become more familiar with applying makeup, you can purchase multiple eyeshadow palettes because there are tons of colors out there for you to try.

Make-up Remover Wipes
Don't ever sleep in your makeup. If it's one of those partying nights and you got a little too tipsy...all is forgiven but make sure you cleanse your face ASAP. Also, don't flush any makeup removal wipes down the toilet, discard them in the trash unless you want to pay for plumbing issues.
Primer..... I never really used primer in the beginning because I just apply Vaseline to my face which is and was a big no-no. So once I signed up for a makeup monthly membership, I get primer all of the time and needed to do something with it. Primers are one of those things that you'll probably have to try several ones before you find the one you absolutely love.

Let's talk about F-O-U-N-D-A-T-I-O-N............... sis, it took me a long time to learn my shade of foundation. Please let me explain! Foundation is one of the most stressful things when it comes to learning how to apply makeup correctly. I used to buy only one shade of foundation and my face was always a different color than my neck or the foundation I bought never truly blended in with my skin tone. So to get the perfect blend, I blend a lighter shade and a darker shade to get that perfect look! If you are unsure, you can always go to places like MAC, Sephora or Macy's and ask them to help you find the best shade(s) of foundation for your skin.
