Esquire Chicago Cooper's Hawk
The new Cooper's Hawk location - downtown Chicago

While lounging around my parents house over the weekend, I received a message from my best friend asking me if I wanted to go to Esquire for lunch. It didn’t dawn on me that she was actually talking about the new Cooper’s Hawk location in downtown Chicago. I instantly responded with a yes of course and off we went.

This location is obviously nothing like the other ones and that's a great thing! The details in the interior design is mesmerizing. I‘ve been a fan of “CH” as I call it, for years now and have been the influence behind people that I know and love, becoming members of their monthly wine club.

About Cooper's Hawk

Esquire Chicago Cooper's Hawk
Three floors of excellence

"Founded in 2005 by CEO Tim McEnery, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is built upon the passionate belief that food and wine hold the power to forge lasting connections. At Cooper’s Hawk, we understand that great wines begin in the vineyard. Our winemaker and his team travel the globe looking for the very best grapes and when they are particularly impressed – whether it be in Chile, France, California or Washington – they work with the wine grower to begin crafting our wine. Our winemaker nurtures each wine according to its individual needs to craft the best wine possible. It’s this philosophy that has led to hundreds of national and international awards for our collection."

The bartender gave us excellent customer service

Cabernet Sauvignon is my favorite wine so that was the bottle of choice for us while we ate our food. After we ate, we did a tasting in the tasting room, which is a must do whenever you visit any Cooper's Hawk.

The Tasting Room

The Tasting Room was a true delight to visit while there. Usually, the tasting rooms at Cooper's Hawk restaurants, are small and crowded, but this one. If you've never done a wine tasting, please do yourself a favor and do it. You get to taste a total of eight wines (sparkling, white and red). If you don't like any that you taste you can pour it out and request to taste another wine instead.

3rd Floor Bar

The third floor was magical!!!!! The bubbles that hung from the ceiling were the highlight of the floor in addition to the bar area. There's a seating area with dim lighting and it is a whole mood for a date night. You can also see the tasting room from the third floor view.

Overall, if you are looking for a more upscale Cooper's Hawk experience, you definitely want to visit their Esquire location. Honestly, I love the Orland location but this location is definitely going to be my new spot to go to when I visit home.
