I had such a relaxing experience getting a facial by Megan Parker, owner of Megan Rocks the Beat, LLC. Her spa is located in Metairie, LA in a chic and cozy salon suite. When I arrived Megan had a gift bag prepared for me, soft music playing and a welcoming smile that I'll never forget. I really appreciated her opening up her spa on a Sunday (during the Saints football game also), when she's normally closed and allowing me to interview her and give me a facial. She offers waxing, facials, lash extensions, and makeup. She also has a handmade luxury, natural, cruelty-free beauty products line called The Vanity Collection. Megan is a licensed Esthetician and certified Herbalist.
Megan told me that I have great skin and I told her that my regimen usually consists of just washing my face daily with hot water and to moisturize it, I use Vaseline. On the weekends, I usually exfoliate my face with sheet masks or other masks because I have more time. Megan informed me, that you should exfoliate your face every two days, which I had no knowledge of that information, previously.
She also has a product line called The Vanity Collection. In my gift bag, I received a t-shirt, an 8oz. jar that contains the Lavender and Green Tea Exfoliating Pads (AHA/BHA) and the 8ml Beautiful Brow to Lush Serum from her collection. During the interview, Megan talked about the health benefits of waxing and cleansing our skin often than not.
