There was so much food that I left this event more than full.

Saturday nights are for hanging out with your friends, enjoying flavorful cocktails and enjoying delicious NOLA cuisines, prepared by one of the greatest chefs in NOLA, Shaka Rogers. I met Shaka through one of my favorite blogger friends and have enjoyed her catered foods at previous events that I attended, ever since we met. Shaka has a beautiful spirit and is a joy to be around. So when I was invited to her private tasting, last night, I had to make myself available.

These women enjoying the event was a whole vibe.

The private tasting was held at The ComMANdment, a life essentials store located on Magazine Street. In the rear of the store is a huge space perfect to rent for events. When I walked in, I thought I walked into a scene from the movie Love Jones. That's how beautiful the space was and the vibes were so chill and laid back. People were hardly on their phones which lets you know that the drinks were good, conversations were flowing and the food that the servers gave us, kept our mouths very full.

Remember I mentioned my blogger friend who introduced me to Chef Shaka? Well that's the amazing woman and event planner, Jazmine Boutte (below). She's known for all of her JD Series events and she's the main reason why I ever get to leave the house. I just love her and if you haven't checked out my event planning interview with her, click here.

My favorite "NOLA housewives" Lynn was there looking gorgeous per the usual and I had to get a boomerang of her and the stylish earrings she wore.

Here's a clip of the food and the venue, everything was setup wonderfully.

I've never been to an event where a chef worked so hard to make everything so wonderful for their guests. That's exactly what Chef Shaka provided us in her private tasting. Be on the lookout for her full launch, sometime in June 2020.

If you are in the NOLA area and looking for some delicious food, definitely follow her here and email her at chefshakarogers@gmail.com for more info.
