I had such an amazing time at the soft opening of Quitutes, located in Arabi, LA. I was invited by my favorite foodie here in NOLA, Rudy Da Foodie. From the moment that I walked in the door, to the time I left, I was treated more like family than a customer. This restaurant is not your typical steakhouse for a Brazilian cuisine. The owners are a married couple, and graciously gave us a brief history of how they met and how their establishment became into existence, together along with some other partners.
Upon arriving, I was served a platter of assorted Quitutes bites. My favorite were the cheese bread which I'm told goes great with coffee or hot chocolate in the morning. Needless to say, the bites plus the delicious passion fruit daiquiri had me full in no time. After this platter, me and some fellow foodie bloggers sipped more daiquiri's and I fell in love with the Vino daiquiri which is a frozen red wine basically! DOUBLE WIN HERE!!!!!
My stomach could only hold so much but the plates of food kept coming! Next we were all served Brazilian-style steaks with fries that were all cooked and seasoned very well. I sat at the bar area which also serves cocktails, wine and beers, but there is a variety of seating to accommodate you and your friends, dining alone or with family. They have a menu that includes, pastries, salads and full entree's.
If you thought that was something, there's more! You can not have a restaurant in Louisiana and not serve some type of Louisiana dishes as well, my fingers got messy eating those shrimps! The beers you see in the image above are authentic Brazilian beers. I'll be back to try those most definitely. Quitutes is now open and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant will host live events with local bands, it has a drive-thru service and a quick turnaround service from the moment you place your order. Please stop by if you are looking for a quick bite to eat with southern hospitality.
