Salt Water Flush Recipe

Natural way to rid your body of toxins

"The main function of the skin is to act as a physical, chemical and antimicrobial defense system. Studies have shown that gut inflammation can impair the integrity and protective function of the epidermal barrier. The best way so far to improve your skin from within seems to be the unsexy old one of lasting diet change, mostly of the sort already linked with other health benefits: whole foods, limited saturated fat, minimal refined sugar. Detoxifying your body from the inside will help restore your beauty on the outside. Ridding your body of toxins not only feels good and provides you with more energy, it is vital for improving the skin, which is the largest organ of our body (Courtesy of @indigoskyorganics)."

Salt water flush benefits

The image to right lists salt water flush benefits. As a kid, I remember the remedy for sore throats was gargling with salt water. It can be used to treat constipation and bloating as well. This is a great way to cleanse your colon also.

As with any other detox, there are some risks to consider with the salt water flush. According to Medical News Today, "The potential for dehydration and electrolyte imbalance may lead to symptoms that can be serious including: muscle spasms, weakness, twitching, numbness, confusion, feeling lethargic, convulsions, seizures and heart problems, including changes in blood pressure and heartbeat."
